My Adoption Story
In March 2024, I found myself in the care of STAR Rescue. Very fluffy, a little unsure, and in need of some love. They took such good care of me, giving me a much needed groom and helping me feel like myself again. Before long, they found me a lovely foster family in Hartlepool, where my new journey began.
After a few weeks, the rescue put my details up for adoption. I was a little nervous that nobody would choose me… and that I might never find my forever home.
But then my mummy saw my photo and fell in love with me instantly. She put her application in, and my foster mummy, Val, read it and thought we sounded like the perfect match.
So mummy had a lovely lady come to her house to make sure it was safe and that I wouldn’t be able to escape from the garden. Once everything was perfect, my foster mummy arranged for her to come and meet me…
I was so nervous to meet her. What if she didn’t like me when she saw me in real life? But I was very friendly and secretly really hoped she’d take me home. And then… it was love at first sight.
We had a long car ride home, but I just slept the whole way, feeling safe and knowing I had found my forever home, and my mummy.
As soon as I got there, I went exploring straight away. First mission? Find out where I’d be sleeping… and I quickly discovered our lovely king-sized bed (perfect). I also found my special chair, right next to a photo of my mummy’s first Shih Tzu, Ozzy, who passed away in April 2024.
Mummy just knew she had too much love to give to be without another little ball of fluff… and now, that ball of fluff is me x
